May 20 - 22, 2024

Novotel Manila, Quezon City, Philippines

Seagulls Flock Organization and the Quezon City Government in partnership with the International Gambling Counselor Certification Board (IGCCB) and in cooperation with the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) invite you to the 1st International Conference on Responsible Gambling and Gaming Addiction on May 20–22, 2024 at Novotel Manila, Quezon City, Philippines.

Gambling and gaming expansion is developing at high rates across the globe. With ease of access and legalization, prevalence of risky and problematic gambling and gaming increases. There remains a critical need for innovative approaches and solutions for prevention and treatment options. Pioneering pathways between research and practice, and building stronger communities, is needed more than ever. Therefore, the first ever international conference will showcase:

  • Cutting-edge technologies and research that aim to mitigate the risks and harms associated with addictive behaviors;

  • Prevention of gambling and gaming addiction;

  • Individual, group, family treatment of gambling and gaming addiction;

  • Public policy, advocacy, and other governmental considerations for legalization and reducing harm.

This groundbreaking conference aims to bring together a diverse spectrum of professionals and advocates to collectively address the pressing issue of problem gambling and gaming, including:

  • Clinicians

  • Treatment service providers

  • Policy makers

  • National and local government agencies

  • Civic society organizations

  • Non-governmental organizations

  • Community members

  • Researchers

  • Individuals in recovery and their families

On Day 1 our speakers will set the stage by discussing global, regional, and local perspectives on problem gambling and gaming. Day 1 will feature the science of problem gambling, prevention and treatment, and industry best practices including global self-exclusion standards. Day 1 is a must for clinicians, treatment providers, academics, researchers, policy makers, and operators who are serious about promoting responsible gambling.

Educators and education leaders, clinicians and treatment providers, researchers and academics, and those who work closely with adolescents and young adults who are experiencing problem gaming won’t want to miss Day 2. Day 2 builds on the exciting topics from Day 1, starting with a discussion on the convergence of gambling and gaming, and the neuroscience of gaming. Our expert speakers will share more about gambling and gaming disorder, assessment and treatment considerations for gaming addiction, and recent research on cross addictions.

Day 3 is all about skill building! Learn skills and best practices for prevention and player experience, as well as best practices with harm reduction.
